I’ve worked in the field of computers for about 20 some years now. Far more than I care to admit to. Most people that graduated when I did are starting to think about retirement, whereas I’ve made the crazy decision to start my own business over the internet building, marketing and designing websites. It’s not entirely my fault, I think I was just a little too complacent when making college decisions so many years ago, and my parents didn’t really push me in a direction at all. While I do enjoy working with computers, doing web design has to be the most divergent form of computer work then I could imagine from where I started.
Initially, I did all my paid computer work on mini or mainframe computers. Heck, we didn’t even have color monitors till I had been working for about five years. Don’t even get me started on the differences between dumb terminals and PC’s. That’s a whole discussion for another day. While I don’t have any formal training in the graphic arts, let’s just say I believe I do have an eye for what looks good on a computer screen. My formal training is more on the back end / server side scripting type of web work. I actually enjoy hacking out some PHP code once in a while. Since I do a lot of work in Wordpress, I rely a lot on the abundance of free templates put up my much more talented designers than I’ll ever be.

There are many occasions that a person might want to plug something into their car but the device only has a household plug on it. Of all the addictions I’ve ever had, I must admit, that my love of gadgets has to be about the strongest. It never ceases to amaze me, the amount of cool stuff that can be crammed into electronic circuit boards. Recently, I read some electronic cigarette reviews and I was somewhat intrigued. My first thought initially, was that this is another product like the patch to help people stop smoking. And, why else would someone come up with such a thing. They do deliver nicotine, but they do it without the harmful smoke that normally accompanies most cigarettes. They use a kind of mist and the nicotine is breathed in with the the nicotine in a vaporized format. I suppose, that has to be an improvement over the normal cigarettes, but still not the healthiest activity you can find to fill your time.
The government and various health and food boards, like the FDA seem to be still in the process of deciding how to classify the product. They don’t know whether to label the product a medicinal cessation aid, or to categorize it under tobacco product. Personally, I think if it helps people quite the nasty habit of smoking then it’s great. I must admit, though that the companies selling these things do need to be regulated. They were adding flavors to some of them to make them more palatable to consumers. Personally, I think having a chocolate flavored cigarette is just wrong, if it actually encourages younger people to try these products just for the taste. Especially if they’ve never smoked before. I think, these products should be aimed at getting people to quit smoking completely, and shouldn’t be considered a life long crutch. As long as the level of nicotine can be gradually decreased with them, then it should work. If your a smoker, and looking for a way to quit, then maybe some electric cigarette discount codes could help get you started. And if your not a smoker now, then steer clear of these things like the plague. There are after all, far better electronic gadgets to hold your attention.
